Vittorio Orlando was the prime minister of Italy<span>. Italy had declared war on Germany in 1915 after the Secret Treaty of London. In the treaty France and Britain had agreed that Italy would be given the Adriatic coast at the end of the war. When Orlando arrived at Versailles he expected Britain and France to keep to their word.
</span>Italy was given the two small areas of Istria and the South Tirol. The Adriatic coast was made part of a new country called Yugoslavia, which included Serbia and Bosnia.
Italy did not receive the land of the Adriatic coast that they were promised.

The 18th amendment outlawed the selling and making liquor in the United States in the 1920's. Although this was established, many people still consumed pre-purchased liquor,made it themselves, or famous gangsters like Al Capone sold it illegally in secret bars. Overall, it didn't really accomplish anything because even though it wasn't legal, people were drinking more than ever and crime increased majorly in cities.
Hearst played a huge part in arousing the public's intention to go to war with Spain. ... Because of his leading role in inciting the war, Hearst was nicknamed the “Father of Yellow Journalism.” Hearst made some very intelligent moves as he tried to out-maneuver Pulitzer. He hired Pulitzer's writers for more money.
