Early encounters between American Indians and European colonists led to a variety of relationships among the different cultures. Analyze how the actions taken by BOTH American Indians and European colonists shaped those relationships in TWO of the following regions. While a large percentage of these encounters because violent, many were for at least a short time peaceful and led to cooperation between the two sides. This was often short-lived, however, as it became clear many of the colonists were only buying time before making conquests. This was especially true in the Chesapeake and New York regions.
