Which feature is the result of a glacier carving out rock as it moves?

Geography

slavikrds [6]3 years ago

The features that result as a form of a glacier carving out rock and forms into the landscape over which it slides are called cirques. When a glacier moves it erodes the surface of the earth beneath it. In this process of erosion large boulders and very small pebbles all get caught up in the path of the glacier and move along with it. This moment causes deep depressions into the earth, changing the landscape. The deposition of rocks and silt from a melting glacier also changes the form of the land over which the glacier moves.

In what type of rock is the ratio of unstable isotopes to stable isotopes best measured?
Nana76 [90]

Answer: Igneous Rock

Explanation: Radiometric dating is used to date rocks by measuring the decay of their composite materials. Stable isotopes remain the same over   time while the nucleus of an unstable or radioactive isotope will decay to form other isotopes .

Dating rocks using Isotopic methods uses the decay time of the isotope in the rock to assess its age. The accuracy of this method is assured by the fact that when these isotopes decay, they are retained in the rock. Isotopic dating is not very accurate in sedimentary rocks because they contain particles from older rocks.
