Read this excerpt from a speech meant for the general public:

English
1 answer:

Answer:

See explanation below

Explanation:

When you are giving a speech, you should take into account the audience that it is intended for.

In this case your audience is formed by elementary school students, so it is important to use basic vocabulary that it's easy to understand (remember that they are as young as 6 years old and they might not know the meaning of more sophisticated words)

This excerpt could be adapted to this audience by changing the word "annals" which is a word they might not know the meaning of to another one that is more appropriate for this age and easier to understand. Also, you could change the word "applaud" to "thank" (for the same reasons)

As a side note, you can also add a "Hello" at the beginning to make it sound more friendly.

This is how it would be:

Hello!

Welcome to this evening's performance of The Tale Missy May. I would like to thank these students for the hard work they put in to make this play one of the best in the history of this school!

you are the speaker of the interschool debate compitition on the topic "Examination should be banned in schools" write your deba
umka2103 [35]

Answer:

Well an exam is a test of knowledge, I don't think these are really necessary because its just showing what you know, and what you don't know its unfair and unnecessary, if the exam is asking you something you don't know its unfair, because then if you know nothing about what the exam is asking, it could make you seem not smart. This could be unfair, but if an exam is giving at the end of the school year or semester, then it would be fine because it would just be a recap of everything you've learned. While at the beginning of the school year, the exam can be unfair because its asking questions you don't know, but this could be helpful at the same time, because it can show how much you've grown from the beginning of the year. Overall these are some ideas to think of.

What was johnnys last request of pony boy
mr_godi [17]

Explanation:

Right before he dies in the hospital, Johnny says “Stay gold, Ponyboy.” Ponyboy cannot figure out what Johnny means until he reads the note Johnny left. Johnny writes that “stay gold” is a reference to the Robert Frost poem Ponyboy shared when they were hiding at the church.
