Deforestation is a big deal. Who benefits? Who loses?, Do the benefits outweigh the costs? Are there any alternatives to current
VladimirAG [237]

The deforestation generally brings loses, and the costs outweigh the benefits, though there are some methods that can turn things around.

Explanation:

The deforestation is a huge problem. It occurs because of the human activities, be it agriculture, mining, industry, expending cities etc. While all these things are benefiting the humans on the short run, on the long run it is devastating. The soil is not of good enough quality, so it can be used only for few years, the mining causes enormous pollution which is destroying the environment on the long run, same is done by the industry, and the cities bring in all sorts of problems, always bringing in big losses for nature.

There are alternatives though, as the forests can be used and to benefit humanity, but also to remain in good condition, and with it the ecosystems. When the trees are cut, same number of trees should be planted on the same places, thus making the forests sustainable. Also, fruit forests can be created gradually, and they will provide both the humans and animals with free and organic food in abundance. This matters a lot because if methods like this are not implemented, the forests will disappear, ecosystems will be destroyed, the humans will be left without lot of resources, and there will dramatic changes of all sorts on the planet, all of which negative.

Forests that are being constantly cut down and are getting destroyed are:

 • Amazon rainforest
 • The Congo rainforest
 • The rainforests of Southeast Asia

Which of the following best describes an environmental problem that is often linked to the process of fracking?
elixir [45]

Answer:

Wastewater from fracking operations is injected into porous rock formations, which can induce seismic activity.

Explanation:

 • The environmental concerns of the fracking can be linked to the increase of the potential for the oil spills that harm the coil and the surrounding vegetation and can cause the earthquakes due to the high pressure that is used to extract the oil and the gas from the rocks and storage of the excessive wastewater on site.

How does the type of rock affect the mass of rocks after weathering?
Brrunno [24]
sediment formed from the weathering and erosion of rock. Over time, sediment accumulates in oceans, lakes, and valleys, eventually building up in layers and weighing down the material underneath. This weight presses the sediment particles together, compacting them. Water passing through the spaces in between the particles helps to cement them together even more. This process of compacting and cementing sediment forms sedimentary rock
