Cloud [144]

Answer:

As people grow older they need to make a difficult choice

Explanation:

The passage narrated the dilemma two young sisters had to contend with as they reached a marriageable age in Greece. Demetria and Agatha had to choose between getting married to the men their parents chose for them and pursuing their personal dreams. Agatha was afraid of upsetting the gods by disobeying her parents but she also had a strong desire to be educated and to be a public orator. In the end, two roads were right in front of her and she had to make a difficult choice.

Answer: In Canada, Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the second Monday of October.

Explanation: Remember these two things:

-Proper Noun: A proper noun is a noun that identifies a single entity and is used to refer to that entity, such as London, Jupiter, Sarah, or Microsoft, as distinguished from a common noun, which is a noun that refers to a class of entities and may be used when referring to instances of a specific class.

-Noun: A noun is a word that names something, such as a person, place, thing, or idea. In a sentence, nouns can play the role of subject, direct object, indirect object, subject complement, object complement, appositive, or adjective.

Hope this helped! ;)

The r in occur is doubled before adding -ence.
Artemon [7]

This happens quite a lot  in verbs e.g run to running. It is because you double the last consonant in a one-syllable noun for it to become a verb. (Keep in mind there are exceptions to this rule.)
