Write three paragraphs about a work of art. Choose a work of art that stands out to you. You may already have a work of art or a

rtist in mind. If not, use Google or another search to get ideas. In the first paragraphs you should state the name of the artist and the work of art as well as information about the artist or work of art that you feel are important. Examples might be when or where the work was made, important events or people in the work, or cultural concepts like mythology or folklore. In the second paragraph you should discuss the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. The work likely makes use of at least two elements of art. State what elements of are art stand out to you and why. Look for the characteristics of line or texture, or the relationships between shapes, forms and space, or how color is used. The work also likely uses at least two principles of design. State what principles stand out to you and why. Look for how form and space create proportion, or how color and texture create pattern or variety, or how line or shape create movement or repetition. Finally in the third paragraph write about what this work means to you. You chose to write about it for a reason, maybe it makes you feel a certain way, or a part of the work reminds you of something you experienced. Maybe you just like the way the artist used elements of art and principles of design. Maybe you actually do not like the work and want to explain why you feel negatively about it or why it is unsuccessful.
