B extended Christianity to Western and northern Europe

Charlemagne (742-814), who considered himself a devoted Christian, vehemently sought to unite all the Germanic people into one kingdom and convert them all to Christianity.

He did, indeed, achieved his purpose. He conquered the Lombards (Northern Italy now), the Avars (Austria and Hungary now) and Bavaria, among others, and for three long decades waged battles on Saxon, a Germanic tribe of "pagan" worshipers, until they were and forced to convert to Christianity: if they didn't follow the Christian traditions, they would be killed.

He also instituted economic and religious reforms, gave money and land to the Christian church, directed revisions of the Bible, protected the popes, was crowned Charlemagne emperor of the Romans in 800, at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome by Pope Leo III.

How was the new government of the United States similar to the government under British rule
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

The official British reply to the colonial case on representation was that the colonies were “virtually” represented in Parliament in the same sense that the large voteless majority of the British public was represented by those who did vote. To this Otis snorted that, if the majority of the British people did not have the vote, they ought to have it. The idea of colonial members of Parliament, several times suggested, was never a likely solution because of problems of time and distance and because, from the colonists’ point of view, colonial members would not have adequate influence.
