Although Lady Macbeth supports the idea of removing Duncan, she is not part of the plan to murder Banquo. She knows about Macbeth's ambition for more power; however, she is not completely aware of how far her husband would go to achieve his goal. Therefore, Lady Macbeth remains "innocent of the knowledge" when it comes to Macbeth's plan to murder Banquo.
