1.       The answer is Jimmy Carter.

He is the 39th President of the United States. Before running for presidency, he also served as the governor for Georgia. He won the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts for international peace. He crafted several international policies that helped countries to work with the United States. He was also advocated his life for democracy, human right and social development.

 

2.       The answer is Maynard Jackson III

Maynard H. Jackson was the first Black American Vice Mayor turned Mayor in Atlanta. Before running as Mayor in Atlanta, Jackson ran for the Senate against Herman Talmadge. He lose the senatorial race because he was underfunded but he was able to secure a good number of votes in Atlanta.

 

3.       The answer is Martin Luther King Jr

Martin Luther King Jr. is a Baptist minister who is known for his advocacy for racial equality. He was also an advocate of the civil rights movement and great believer of Mahatma Gandhi. He spearheaded the Montgomery boycott.

4.       John Lewis

He was known for his participation on “March to Washington”. He was one of the big six in the civil right movements. He advocated to end the racial segregation in the United States.

5.       Lester Maddox

He is one of the American politicians who believed in segregation. He used to own a restaurant with his wife and refused to serve black customers because of the laws in the US.
