Well, Cilia and flagella are actually projections from the cell.
They are precicly made up of microtubules, they are also covered by an extension of the plasma membrane. They are motile and designed either to move the cell itself or to move substances over or around the cell.

Answer:

Cilia is the cytoplasmic extension attached to the plasma membrane.

Flagella is a hairlike structure, which is attached to the living cells

Explanation:

Cilia is the cytoplasmic extension that is attached to the plasma membrane of the cells. It is composed of the microtubules and the dyneins motor proteins.

The function of cilia is to assist the cell in locomotion, it also presents in the trachea respiratory tract, where they help in removal of the microbes and particles.

Flagella is the threadlike extension of unicellular organisms that facilitates in the movement of the cells.

Answer:

Horizontal gene transfer

Explanation:

Horizontal gene transfer or lateral gene transfer is when an organisms of different species can acquire a gene from a different one. This process is well understood in bacteria and is responsible for the appearence of antibiotic resistant bacteria. Bacteria can take DNA fragments through a process known as transformation, but this is less common in eukaryotes. Gene transfer agents like viruses could carry the gene from one specimen to the other. Another way could be Horizontal transposon transfer but the exact mechanisms behind it are still under research.

Which DNA fingering technique examines the length variation of DNA repeat sequences in human DNA?
DiKsa [7]

Answer: The question is incorrect, below is the correct question

Which DNA FINGERPRINTING technique examines the length variation of DNA repeat sequences in human DNA?

The correct answer to the question is option D

mtDNA (mitochondrial DNA) analysis

Explanation: DNA fingerprinting technique is a laboratory technique used by geneticists.it entails placing of DNA samples into wells, these wells are then placed in a slab of gels and thereafter passing a current through the gel. This is done to ascertain the uniqueness of a DNA pattern and thus be able to differentiate people of same species.

There are several methods of DNA fingerprinting as outlined in the options given with the question.

In mtDNA (mitochondrial DNA) analysis,The Genetic samples are extracted from the biological materials, these samples extracted are total genomic DNA like hair, tooth or samples of blood, Several copies of these genomic DNA are then produced using a polymerase chain reaction and flanking primers inorder to examines the length variation of DNA repeat sequences in human DNA.

vitfil [10]

The correct answer is: damage to the left posterior brain or left optic radiation.

This condition characterized by the loss of half of the visual field on the same side (right side in this case) in both eyes is called homonymous hemianopsia. This happens because information from the optic nerves crosses to the other half of the brain via the optic chiasm (X shape).Since, the visual images from the right side travel from both eyes to the left side of the brain, it is most likely that the injury, tumor or trauma occurred on the left side of the brain. Stroke can also be the cause for the hemianopsia.

which action would be most likely to increase future developments in science and engineering relating to agriculture
8090 [49]

Advances in machinery will expand the scale, speed, and productivity of farm equipment, leading to more efficient cultivation of more land. Powerful Seed, water saving irrigation, and better organic fertilizers will vastly improve the condition of agriculture, helping farmers increase yields.

The challenge which agriculture industry is facing is twofold :

Infrastructure must be developed to enable the use of connectivity in farming, and where connectivity already exists, strong business cases must be made in order for solutions to be adopted.

As connectivity increasingly takes hold, these new tools will enable new capabilities in agriculture:

 • Massive Internet of Things. Low-power networks and cheaper sensors will set the stage for the Iot to scale up, enabling such use cases as precision irrigation, monitoring of large herds of livestock, and tracking of the use and performance of remote buildings and large fleets of machinery.
 • Mission-critical services. Ultralow latency and improved stability of connections will build confidence to run applications that demand absolute reliability and responsiveness, such as operating autonomous machinery and drones.
 • Near-global coverage. If satellites attain their potential, they will enable even the most remote rural areas of the world to use extensive digitization, which will enhance global farming productivity.
