Answer:  C. Open a liquor store.

In "Raisin in the Sun," Walter wants to use the insurance money the family got after the death of the father to open a liquor store. This is different from his mother's wish, which is to buy a house. Walter is unhappy with their life, and with his inability to earn a lot of money for his family. He believes a business will help them improve their lives. However, when he does take some of the money in order to start this business, things do not go as planned.
