Question: What were the saddest memories you remember? Answer: I think the saddest memory is the day we had to leave our farm. I

know my mother and father were worried. They did not know what would happen to us. We had no idea where we would be sent. People were all crying and many families were upset. Some believed we would not be treated well, and maybe killed. There were many disturbing rumors. Everyone was easily upset and there were many arguments. It was a horrible experience for all of us, the old people like my grandparents, my parents and children like me. We were all innocent. The government had no real reason to send us into these camps. There were racists who did not want the Japanese to own land and begin to prosper. Racism, prejudice, greed, and lack of political leadership caused the evacuation and internment. Are disasters today less "natural" than they
use to be? why
or
why not?
ozzi

Disasters began turning unnatural again in the 1970s, when researchers’ attention shifted away from physical hazards and toward the vulnerability of people and communities .Nature remains full of hazards, but only some of them wreak disaster. It is human-built structures, not the shaking ground, that kill when an earthquake strikes; people live, often out of desperation, in low-lying slums where flooding is a certainty; well-intentioned forest managers fuel bigger fires; evacuation systems fail; nuclear plants are built along risky coasts; and devastated communities either get help to survive and recover, or they don’t.

There’s another reason that the “natural disaster” label has long outlived its expiration date. It’s really about blame—deflecting it, dissipating it, or removing it from the equation completely. But unfortunately for the blameworthy, science is learning more every year about how human activity is contributing not only to natural-looking disasters but even to the fluxes of air, earth, and water that inflict the destruction. This didn’t start with greenhouse emissions, but it may end there. Climate disruption has collapsed the last walls between the human and the natural—and the storms are growing.

Hopes this helps in some sort of fashion :)

Is it laudable to value persistence and hard work?
Daniel [21]

Answer:

Personally, yes, I believe it is laudable to value both persistence and hard work. I say I value persistence because, for example, say you and a few friends are playing a game of football, and later went to a actual football game they really had to play in. Maybe one of the boys that had earlier been playing around had been very competitive, but, possibly because it was not a real game, it did not really matter. But lets say now that he´s in the game, and the other team scored one point, he huffs and puffs, and gets upset, saying he´s not playing the rest of the game, just because he had not gotten the first point. The other team members, on the other hand, were still determined, persisting through the game.

I think it is laudable to value hard work, because life is never going to be peaches and plums. Maybe you are a teen, and you have to help your uncle and auntie with moving in to a new house. The boxes and packed up belongings are not going to be brand new, dust free, no bugs attached boxes. To some people, touching something dusty with a new white shirt on, is hard work. Personally, having to get anywhere near bugs at all, whether it is a moth, a rolly polly- it does not matter to me whether it is a harmless bug or not. A hornet, or a Wasp- any insect, I absolutely despise. I do not consider it hard work, but, getting near any bugs- is hard to do, majority of times.

Explanation:Hope this helps.
