The Sons of Liberty was a revolutionary group who was involved in the American independence movement and approached their opposition to the colonial rule through revolutionism. On December 16, 1773, a group of Native Americans dressed as colonists quietly boarded three British ships carrying tea and dumped 342 chests of tea into the water. While judging if their actions were justified or not it presents a dilemma, as the party carried out their actions in patriotic fervor, their revolutionary acts were violent.

Further Explanation:

The Boston Tea Party was a political protest by the Native Americans against British imperialism in America. The British Exchequer was drained by its expensive Indian wars against the French and imposed taxation on a number of basic necessities such as salt. The Native Americans reacted strongly against this, for they had no representation in the House of Commons. This went against the British ideal of ‘No Taxation without representation’. The Boston tea party was a violent protest movement against the British by the Sons of Liberty. This was one of the first major acts of defiance against the British rule, and against the oppressive Stamp Act and the Townsend Acts. The British justified these taxes as the financial debt had occurred on fighting wars on behalf of the colonists. The British decided to monopolize the sale of tea and impose taxation on tea consumption. This was the last straw and invoked a series of rebellions on part of the colonists who wanted independence. In protest, the colonists boycotted tea sold by the East India Company, smuggling in the cheaper Dutch tea. This led to a huge incurring of losses by the East India Company. The British Government allowed the east Indian Company to sell duty-free tea in all colonies, however, a tax would be payable by buyers on its purchase. The colonists refused to let the ships unload or pay taxes on the purchase of tea. The governor refused to comply with the demands, and on the same night, the members of the Sons of Liberty, dressed as Native Americans, stormed into the ships and threw 342 chests of tea into the sea. Following the Boston Tea Party, the British government was outraged, resulting in the passing of Coercive Acts by the British Government.

if a country has a low GDP, it __________. A. produces a low number of goods each year, resulting in an economically rich nation
galina1969 [7]

The correct answer is D. Produces a low number of goods each year, resulting in an economically poor nation

Explanation:

In economy, the Gross Domestic Product or GDP refers to the final value of all the products and services produced in a country, which is usually measured annually but can also be measured in during shorter periods of time. This measurement is used to study the general economy of a country and whether this is growing, also it is believed the GDP can be used to determine if the economy of a country is prosperous. Considering this, a low GDP usually means the country is not producing many products and services and therefore the final value of them is low, in the same way, this means the economy of the country might not be growing and it is not prosperous. Thus, if a country has a low GDP it is because it "produces a low number of goods each year, resulting in an economically poor nation".
