What significant event ended the same year the 13 amendment was adopted?
Elza [17]

Civil War ended the same year when the 13 amendment was adopted.

Explanation:

The thirteenth Constitutional amendment in 1865 during the Civil War, the Constitution ended America's slavery.

The ratification was the first specific mention of the transatlantic slave trade in the U.S, despite a long legacy of slavery in British colonies and its existence in America till 1865.

The founders of America, however, clearly ignored slavery, which was common in all 13 territories in 1776, thus enshrining in their founding documents–such as a Declaration of Independence and the constitution–the value of freedom and equality.
