During this time (1920s) the nation had a great amount of banks, almost one bank per every 1000 people, but those banks started to failure and closed due to the aconomical depression, so people who had their lives saving in the bank lost their money. On the other hand  farmers started to loose not only their crops but also their lands since they did not make enough money to pay rents and expences, likewise homeowners and people who worked in companies were layed off, therefore they moved to work  on the rails but the money the earned was not enough to support their families.
