Use the 30* 60* 90* rule where

30* = x,   60* = x√3,   90* = 2x

so based on the given,
2x = 6√3 ⇒ divide both sides by 2 and you'll end up with
x = 3√3 (the length side of JK)

to find JL, multiply 3√3 by √3 and the answer'll be 9 = length of JL, opp of 60*

That is a 30 60 90 triangle.
Side JK is one half of the hypotenuse or 2 * (sq root (3))
LJ = hypotenuse * square root (3) / 2
JL = 6 * sq root (3) * sq root (3) / 2 = 3 * 3 = 9

\frac{1}{2}(x+5)^2 + 9 = -15

\frac{(x+5)^2+18}{2} =  \frac{-30}{2}

Cancel out the denominators.

(x+5)² + 18 = -30

(x+5)² = -30 - 18

(x+5)² = -48

The equation is impossible, we have a negative number.

There isn't a number that squared gives a negative number (the square is always positive).

√(x+5)² = +/- √-48

x+5 = +/- √-48

IMPOSSIBLE

You can write the result in imaginary numbers

x+5=+/- 4i√3

A stock was priced at $12 3/8 per share. It rose in price by $3 1/4 per share. What was its new price?
lubasha [3.4K]

Option A

The new price is $ 15 \frac{5}{8}

<h3><u>Solution:</u></h3>

Given that, a stock was priced at $ 12 \frac{3}{8} per share.

It rose in price by $ 3 \frac{1}{4} per share.

New price = old price + rise in price

Thus to find out the new price, we have to add old price and rise in price

\text { So, new price }=\$ 12 \frac{3}{8}+\$ 3 \frac{1}{4}

\text { New price }=\frac{12 \times 8+3}{8}+\frac{3 \times 4+1}{4}

On solving we get,

\text { New price }=\frac{96+3}{8}+\frac{12+1}{4}

\begin{array}{l}{\text { New price }=\frac{99}{8}+\frac{13}{4}=\frac{99+26}{8}} \\\\ {\text { New price }=\frac{125}{8}}\end{array}

On converting to mixed fraction,

\begin{array}{l}{\text { New price }=\frac{120+5}{8}} \\\\ {\text { New price }=15 \frac{5}{8}}\end{array}

Hence, the new price is 15 \frac{5}{8}, so option A is correct.

Answer:

the Fact that 1610 responses where gotten from the original population of

241 500 000 makes this a convenience sampling.

Step-by-step explanation:

convenience Sampling : this is a type of non-probability sampling that involves the sample being drawn from that part of the population that is close to hand.
