Explanation:

"The Storm" is one of the most famous short stories that was written in the year 1898 by the author named, Kate Chopin. It is about a love story about two person, Calixta and Alcee.

The author uses many symbols to represents and plots his story. One such symbols is the 'storm'. It is the main symbol of the story. In “The Storm”, by Kate Chopin,  Chopin not only wishes to create the perfect setting but she also uses her setting as the symbol of the affair. The storm and the sexual passion of Calixta and Alcée are both potentially destructive. The storm's destructive act which lead the two protagonists to have sex, it will most likely to have a destructive effect to their marriages.

Kate Chopin uses the word 'storm' as a metaphor as it sets the mood of the setting of the story and also it symbolizes its potential destructive nature which may ruin the marriage life of both Alcee and Calixta.

What was peculiar about the woman he saw in the beginning of this time travel in The Time Machine?
givi [52]

The peculiar thing about the woman the Time Traveller saw in the beginning of this time travel is that she shot across the room "like a rocket."

<h3>The woman in "The Time Machine"</h3>

In the novel "The Time Machine," the Time Traveller begins his journey through time using a machine he has invented. When he starts the machine, he sees a woman, Mrs. Watchett, come into the room and walk across it. She does not seem to notice him.

However, from the Time Traveller's perspective, the woman seems to shoot across the room "like a rocket." That is because everything around him seems to speed up as the machine takes him through time.

With the information above in mind, we can select option C as the correct answer. The woman shot across the room "like a rocket."

Poetry can make use of: _____. Select all that apply.
lozanna [386]
I am assuming that the question actually reads: Poetry can make use of ____.

1. Rhyme2. Prose3. Paragraphs4 Rhythm
Select all that apply.
Poetry can make use of Rhyme, Prose, Rhythm and Paragraphs. Prose poetry is poetry that looks like prose but is actually poetry. Prose poetry also contains paragraphs. It tends to focus on images and contains poetic meter and rhyming words. Standard poetry, on the other hand is written in verse, contains image driven metaphors, and consists mainly of poetic meter which is rhythm and rhyming meter.
