The answer would be Collective Learning. The reason is, if a group of people fail in something they learn from those mistakes so they improve upon them, in doing so they share this knowledge with new generations. Each generation makes improvements on this knowledge.

Why might a surplus food supply contribute to the development of cities?
scoray [572]
I believe the correct answer is D. more food allows the population to grow.
A is incorrect because if there's a surplus of food, it means people don't have to hunt as much as they used to. B is also incorrect because more food means a more permanent settlement. C is incorrect because the two things aren't connected. And D should be correct because if there is a lot of food, it means that the population can grow and everyone can be fed.

What are the conditions on daily life of factory work on women in 1846?
Anastaziya [24]
<span>A meal eaten under such circumstances must be quite unfavorable to digestion and health, as any medical man will inform us. At seven o'clock in the evening, the factory bell sounds the close of the day's work. Thus thirteen hours per day of close attention and monotonous labor are exacted from the young woman. Hope this helps! :)

List in chronological order the three french governments
AveGali [126]
Depending on where you want to begin your charting, there are more than three.

France government was under the control of the king up until the French Revolution.

The delegates of the 3rd Estate proclaimed themselves the National Assembly in 1789, and ultimately forced the king (Louis XVI) into a constitutional monarchy relationship.

In September, 1792, France declared itself a republic (now referred to as the First Republic) and the king was removed from office.  (He later was executed.)

During the Reign of Terror (1793-94), the Committee of Public Safety under the leadership of Robespierre controlled the government.

After that tumultuous period, France was under a 5-man committee known as the Directory (1795-99).

Napoleon then came to power in the Consulate government (1799-1804), after which he proclaimed himself emperor of the French Empire (1804-1814).

... We could go further to the period after the Revolution and Napoleon, but I'm assuming your question perhaps pertained to the Revolution era.
