The Delian League was formed by Athens in 478 B.C. to protect the Greek city-states against the Persian Empire. The representatives of the various city-states met annually at Delos, where the League's treasury was kept. However soon relations between Athens and Sparta, the other strong city-state deteriorated. Over time Athens itself became a tyranny. The League became an Athenian Empire. After the Persian threat diminished Athens became aggresive. The Athenians transferred the treasury to Athens in 454 B.C. It became obligatory to join the League. It was not allowed to secede from the League. A Thrasian revolt was brutally crushed in 463 B.C. Tribute money from the various city-states was used to rebuild temples in Athens. When Athens went to war with the Peloponnesian League, led by Sparta, the other city-states were forced to contribute men, money and ships. I hope that this has been a help to you.

How did the black land impact ancient Egyptian civilizations
Andru [333]

Hope it hepls bro

The ancient Egyptians thought of Egypt as being divided into two types of land, the 'black land' and the 'red land'.
River NileThe 'black land' was the fertile land on the banks of the Nile. The ancient Egyptians used this land for growing their crops. This was the only land in ancient Egypt that could be farmed because a layer of rich, black silt was deposited there every year after the Nile flooded.

DesertThe 'red land' was the barren desert that protected Egypt on two sides. These deserts separated ancient Egypt from neighbouring countries and invading armies. They also provided the ancient Egyptians with a source for precious metals and semi-precious stones.

The soldiers who were struck by the gas attack in this passage experienced
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

Eye irritation.

Explanation:

There were several types of gases used during WWI (that's what I'm assuming this question is about) but all of them caused severe eye irritation, which would lead soldiers to sometimes take off there gas masks completely and expose the to the gas completely. That's why 85% of deaths in the war were though to be gas related. But instant death could be the other answer just because one of the gasses was particularly lethal and caused many deaths in the war.
