These lines from Sir Gawain and the Green Knight show that Gawain, who was one of the knights of the Round Table, was modest. He did not want to sound arrogant that is the reason why he uncovered his attributes as a great warrior and he just said he was weak and of wit feeblest. He said that because he did not want to show his superiority.
