1. Who is James’ target audience in this essay? How do you know this?
Alina [70]

Explanation:

1. His target is the people are thinking that the better future doesn't exist and the children who are dreaming that they will succeed in everything. For ones who have dreams and hopes. Especially children and people from Northeast Ohio. He is also targeting the audience that is thinking that he is not in a good relationship with players. We can see that in the essay where he is talking about why he is writing it.

2. He wants those children and people to realize that there is no better place for growing up than their place. ''My presence can make a difference in Miami, but I think it can mean more where I’m from. I want kids in Northeast Ohio, like the hundreds of Akron third-graders I sponsor through my foundation, to realize that there’s no better place to grow up.''

Also, he is doing his essay from another reason and that is to explain himself about the relationship between him and Erik Spoelstra.

3. He is claiming that people show know that he is in a good relationship with Erik Spoelstra and that he doesn't want people to think that they are not getting along because it is not true. He wants to win next year and he is knowing that it is hard but he is believing in his team. He has many goals and claims that he wants to accomplish and support. His speech has positivity and motivation, not many claims or arguments.

4. LeBron doesn't have much evidence that is supporting his claims. He is telling the people what he wants and what are his wishes trough the speech. He is believing in himself and family who is supporting him.His positive and motivational sort of speech isn't something where he wanted to show off with evidence and claims(as I said in the previous question). His only evidence is that that he can do anything if he is believing in himself.

5. It is effective because it can give motivation to many people and especially the ones who are coming from the city where he grew up. We can see in the essay that he was always believing in himself and he was having the goals that he wanted to achieve. He is telling us how family and hope are important for success.
