The correct answer is A) The military draft emptied factories of male workers > More women went to work to support the war effort.

<em>The diagram that illustrates a cause-and-effect relationship in the home front during World War II is: "The military draft emptied factories of male workers > More women went to work to support the war effort."</em>

US male citizens had to enlist to go to World War, II but the war demanded so much work in the factories to produce the war supplies and weaponry needed at the work front. That is when many women and African Americans had the opportunity to begin to work in the industry. For most women, it was their first work outside the home. The US federal government created the kind of propaganda to impulse women to work in factories as a patriotic symbol of help during the war years.

The diagram which illustrates cause-effect relationship on the home front during World War II is the last one:

<h2>The military draft emptied factories of male workers ----> caused -----> more women went to work to support the war effort</h2>

WWII propaganda encourage women to work  in support of the army.<em> Rosie the Riveter,</em> saying "we can do it" invited women to join the<u> factories</u> without leaving their families. This opportunity, to fill the blank spaces men left at factories gave women the opportunity to self-realizate and to earn their daily bread.

Which statement best explain the situational irony that occurs in the passage?
Ulleksa [173]

The correct answer is D) the aunt does not expect the bachelor to tell a story but he does.

<em>The statement that best explains the situation irony that occurs in the passage is the aunt does not expect the bachelor to tell a story but he does. </em>

We are referring to an excerpt of “The Storyteller” written by Jodi Picoult.

The aunt did not like the bachelor’s comment about she did not know how to tell a good story. The aunt stiffly says to him that it is difficult to tell a story that children can understand and appreciate. When the bachelor did not agree with her, the aunt challenges him to tell a story with the girls support and that is what he does. He began telling his story. That is why the statement that best explains the situation irony that occurs in the passage is the aunt does not expect the bachelor to tell a story but he does.
