Use the table below to determine whether f(x) could represent a linear function If it could write f(x) in the form f(x)=mx+b
Elodia [21]

Answer:

  • f(x) = 6x - 5

Step-by-step explanation:

We see f(x) increase is linear and is 6 at each step, so m = 6 and y-intercept is b = -5, from point (0, -5)

<u>So the function is:</u>

  • f(x) = 6x - 5

Explain how the graph of a quadratic function relates to the solutions of the related quadratic equation.
OleMash [197]

Answer:

The zeros of a quadratic function are the solutions of the related quadratic equation. If the graph of a quadratic function crosses the x-axis, there will be two real number solutions. If the graph of a quadratic function just touches the x-axis, there will be one unique real number, or double root, solution. If the graph of a quadratic function does not cross the x-axis, there will be no real number solution.

Helppp find the value of y lamooooo
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

4x-13 = 2x+9 ( i think it was exterior angle property i dont remember but its true)

so, solving that eq,

4x-2x = 9+13 (grouping variables and constants)

2x=22

x=11

also, 2x+9 and 3y+2 are on a transversal, and are supplementary angles (add up to 180°)

so, solving for x in 2x+9,

2(11)+9 = 22+9 = 31°

now, 31 + 3y+2 =  180

3y = 180 - 33

y = 147/3 = 49

(hoping you understood the calculations :)
