The guy that created humanism - "father of humanism" Francesco petrarca, wanted everyone to not only know there works worth but there own human worth. He helped start up the renaissance and helped foment intellectual growth and accomplishment of the renaissance.

middle-class colonists were the most affected by the British rule and taxes.
When you are the one that works the hardest but the one that pays the highest tax you are easily persuaded to pick up a weapon and fight for your rights.
The Boston Tea "Party" was a good example of people being sick of paying high taxes for something that was forced on them.
