Privileges: The French nobility had specific legal and financial rights and prerogatives. The first official list of these prerogatives was established relatively late, under Louis XI after 1440, and included the right to hunt, the right to wear a sword and have a coat of arms, and, in principle, the right to possess a fief or seigneurie. The correct answer is A) they put more power in the hands of the king.

What French aristocrats did in an effort to keep their privileges was "they put more power in the hands of the king."

The nobles in France were the wealthy and powerful class in French society. They benefitted so much of the relationship they had with the monarchy. For instance, they did not pay taxes. People from the third state, the peasants and poor ones were the ones that paid taxes. These kinds of injustices were the ones that accelerated the French Revolution.

The other options of the question were B) they declared war on the king. C) they left the Catholic Church. D) they organized an elected Parliament.

aliya0001 [1]

The correct answer is option C. "Alamo". In Alamo battle Texan Colonel William Travis sent a plea for help for the besieged defenders of the Alamo, ending the message with the famous last words, “Victory or Death.” The battle of Alamo was of great significance in Texas Revolution. Two facts that illustrated the significance of the battle of Alamo are that it became a source for inspiration to future battles against the Mexican army with the chant "Remember the Alamo", and the success of the battle of San Jacinto, at which Mexican troops surrendered.
