2) Notable others - the notable others of experts have highlighted prominently in art, both in traditional art and more recent works. To see how these people who profoundly affected the lives of others are recreated as a muse is incredibly interesting.
3) Current events - Artists often aim to follow political events or circumstances that are occurring right now in the world, so as to add their own voice and scene into the conversation.
4) Self-portraits - It's always interesting to see how any individual views themselves, especially when their musical talent enables us to see not only their view of themselves but to reconsider how we view ourselves.

Art must have a subject. The piece of art must have a person, an object, a theme, or an idea as the subject.
Art must also have form. The artwork should not just be random and it each spot should be made with a purpose in mind.
Art should also have content. It is like the mood or feeling that the artist wants the viewer to have.
Pastels are chalk. It is dry pigment, mixed with a dry binder placed on a textured surface to hold the pigment to the paper. It doesn’t involve any liquid of any kind. Acrylics are a dry pigment, mixed with a liquid binder placed on pretty much any kind of surface that is properly prepared with gesso or some kind of acrylic medium. Water or liquid mediums are involved in the application of the paint. Acrylics cannot be put over top of pastels as the dry pigment doesn’t allow the acrylic paint to bind to the substrate. You can put pastel over top of acrylic ONLY if you use an acrylic ground medium specifically designed for pastels. It kind of feels like sandpaper after you apply it and it dries clear. You will have to put a fixative on the pastel if you are using it on a canvas substrate, and that is a whole other topic of discussion.
