In the section pointing to the pulmonic valve which serves as the gateway from the right ventricle and the pulmonary circulation, the primary function is to prevent backflow of blood form the pulmonary trunk into the right ventricle. In the section pointing to the tricuspid valve, otherwise known as right atrioventricular (AV) valve, it functions to prevent backflow of blood from right ventricle to right atrium. In the section pointing to the aortic valve which serves as the gateway from the left ventricle and the pulmonary circulation, the primary function is to prevent backflow of blood from the aorta into the left ventricle. Lastly, in the section pointing to the mitral valve, otherwise known as the left atrioventricular (AV) valve, it functions to prevent backflow of blood from the left ventricle to the left atrium.

For a not moving fluid, _______________________________ determines the fluid pressure. a temperature b type of fluid c depth and
zzz [600]

The answer is depth and type of fluid. Type of fluid essentially means its density. Denser fluid exerts more pressure compared to less dense fluids. Additionally, the bigger the depth in the fluid, the more the pressure due to the column of the fluid above. The following formula is used to calculate this pressure of a static fluid;

Pstatic fluid = ρgh      where;

ρ = m/V = fluid density

g = acceleration of gravity

h = depth of fluid

Roundworms have _____ muscle that helps them move.
zmey [24]

The correct answer is longitudinal.

The streamline body of roundworms allows them to move and glide in the soil. The longitudinal muscles of the body of roundworm contracts and relaxes that allows them to move forward. The roundworm becomes wider or it bends from one side and pushes its body to move forward.

Each cell is surrounded by a cell membrane composed of a lipid bilayer with protein channels interspersed. Which one of the foll
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

Small nonpolar molecules, such as O2(oxygen) and CO2(carbon dioxide)

Explanation:

Oxygen and carbon dioxide are soluble in the lipid bilayer (mostly because oxygen and carbon dioxide are lipids) and therefore can readily cross cell membranes. Small uncharged polar molecules, such as H2O(water), also can diffuse through membranes but will have a hard time doing so, but larger uncharged polar molecules, such as glucose(carbohydrates), cannot.
