${8}^{2} + {8}^{2} = x \\ 6 4 + 64 = x \\ 128 = x$
$x = \sqrt{128} = \sqrt{2 {}^{7} } = \sqrt{2 {}^{6} \times 2} \\ = 8 \sqrt{2}$

In a 45° - 45° - 90° triangle, the corresponding sides to the 45° angles are "a" and the corresponding side to the 90° angle (hypotenuse) is "a√2"

8 = a
x = a√2 → x = 8√2
