8% of their total bill = 3.70
0.08x = 3.70
x = 3.70/0.08
x = 46.25 <==

Answer:

Their bill was $46.25.

Step-by-step explanation:

Restaurant customer tip their server 8% that is $3.70.

Let the bill of the customer be 'x'

Therefore, 8% of x = $3.70

\frac{8}{100} × x = 3.70

x = 3.70 ÷ 0.08

x = $46.25

Their bill was $46.25.

How many solutions are there to the equation below? 12x + 32 = 12x - 7
marshall27 [118]
0 solutions

move the x to one side, and the numbers to the other.

12x (-12x) + 32 (-32)= 12 (-12x) - 7 (-32)

12x - 12x = -7 - 32

0 = -39

0 ≠ -39

∴ you have 0 solutions

Either my brain is straight up goneskiis or I need assistance.
olga nikolaevna [1]
The answer is C. 89 in^2

This is found by (1/2(\pi r^{2}))+70

r in this equation stands for radius which is half the diameter. Sice the diameter equals 7, the radius equals 3.5

You have to solve this by putting it into a calculator since you can't really solve for an equation with pi in it otherwise.

Hope this helps!

Find the coordinates of the circle and the radius y²+2x+x²-24y= -120
riadik2000 [5.3K]
We know that
the equation of a circle is
(x-h+(y-k)²=r²
where (k,k)----> is the center
and
r----> is the radius
y²+2x+x²-24y= -120

Group terms that contain the same variable
 (y²-24y)+(x²+2x)=-120

Complete the square twice. Remember to balance the equation by adding the same constants to each side
 (y²-24y+144)+(x²+2x+1)=-120+144+1

<span>Rewrite as perfect squares</span>

(y-12)²+(x+1)²=25

(x+1)²+(y-12)²=5²

the answer is
the coordinates of the center are (-1,12)
the radius is 5 units
