1. 3^3 = 27, 27 x 270 = 7,290m^3

2. original volume = 8 x 6 = 48 cm^3

new volume = 48 x (5/4)^3 = 93.75 cm^3

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

When a geometrical figure is dilated by k units, we get area becomes k^2 times and volume k^3 times.

Given that a prism has original volume = 270m^3

Scale factor of dilation =3

Volume new would be = 3^3 (270)

=27(270)

=7290 m^3

-----------------------------

II) A prism has base area = 8 cm^2

Height = 6 cm

Dilated by scale factor = 5/4

New base area = 8(5/4)(5/4) = 25/2 cm^2

New height = 6(5/4) = 15/2

New volume = new base x new height

= 25/2*15/2 =375/4 = 93.75 cubic cm.

Answer:

C\approx 5.14

Step-by-step explanation:

The circumference is the distance around a complete circle: in essence, the perimeter of a circle. The formula to find the circumference of a circle is the following:

C=(d)(\pi)

Where (d) represents the diameter, the largest cord that can be drawn in a circle, it goes from one end to another, passing through the center of the circle. The parameter (\pi) represents the number (3.1415...). However, one is given a semicircle, thus one must divide the result in two, and then add the value of the diameter to find the perimeter of the given object. Therefore the equation for the circumference of this circle is as follows:

C=\frac{(d)(\pi)}{2}+(d)

Substitute in the given value,

C=\frac{(2)(3.1415)}{2}+(2)

Simplify,

C=3.1415...+2

C=5.1415

C\approx 5.14

Two friends share 1/2 of a pineapple equally.What fraction of a whole pineapple does each friend get?
Katyanochek1 [597]
They each get 1/4.

Because since they have 1/2 they will further divide that piece in 2 so each of them will get 1/4 of the whole.

Hope this helps :)

What is 102% as a fraction
scZoUnD [109]
102% as a fraction would be 102/100, because a percent is by the one hundreds, and you can have a fraction be by hundreds. You can reduce the fraction by dividing it by 2, which equals 51/50. Another example, to clarify, is to make 41% a fraction, and decimal. Once again a percent is base 100, so the fraction would be 41/100, then to make it a decimal, you would put a decimal point in front of the 41, to make it .41. Hope I helped, and if you don't understand, tell me and I will try to make it better.
