Nationalism is always linked to a love for the country. The idea of homeland has a strong presence in the conception of the country as the sole source of security and the basis of life. Nationalism assumes the function of protecting the land and culture in which it is inserted, above all else.
C the south is more protected and if you try to leave south or was it north you would get shot it is all about religion on south so C
a few options
a. you could ignore them (probably don't do this)
b. pretend they are someone you like
c. just figure out how to respect them without trying to have full conversations
