X=-13
Because 9 plus 4 is 13 but x can't be negative so you divide my negative 1 and get x=-13

You need to make x the subject. This means only x needs to be on one side of the equals sign.
-x-4=9
you need to keep x positive so +x on both sides (because it is the opposite of minus)
-4=9+x
minus the nine on both sides (because it is the opposite of adding)
-11=x
This is the answer.
-11=x

An equiangular triangle has one side of length six inches. What is the height of the triangle, drawn from that side, to the near
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer:

The height of the triangle is 5.2 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

An equiangular triangle is a triangle where all three interior angles are equal in measure

Remember that an equilateral triangle has three equal sides and three equal interior angles

so

An equiangular triangle Is the same that an equilateral triangle. The measure of its interior angles is equal to 60 degrees

Let

h ----> the height of triangle

b ---> the length side of the triangle

Applying Pythagoras Theorem

h^2=b^2-(b/2)^2

we have

b=6\ in

substitute

h^2=6^2-(6/2)^2

h^2=36-9

h^2=27

h=\sqrt{27}\ in

h=5.2\ in

The school cook made 30 pounds of potato salad for the school picnic. How many servings is this if each serving is 1/4 pound?
iren2701 [21]
120 servings.
You do this by multiplying 30 by 4 (because each pound can make 4 servings as represented by 1/4 pound) Hope you understand I'm not good with explaining.
