I wouldn't say that Beowulf's boasting shows him to be offensively arrogant. In the ancient heroic times of Britain, boasting was a sign of strength and bravery, and Beowulf had to boast to show others that he is a hero deserving of his title. Nobody thinks of him as an arrogant person but rather a savior. Today, I guess you could compare his boasting to writing a resume - there, it is your job to practically 'sell yourself' by promoting your strengths in order to get the job you want.

Manners are commonly accepted_______ behavior.
Viktor [21]
Manners are commonly accepted social behavior. Manners tell you what is polite to do, and what is not. Mind you, what is considered manners in one country, may be rude in another. For example, it is rude in Japan to finish your meal completely, because your host may think that if you've eaten everything on your plate, you may still be hungry.

The National Rifle Association is an example of a A. gun control group. B. multi-issue group. C. gun rights group. D. dual-issue
MaRussiya [10]

The correct answer is C) gun-rights group.

The National Rifle Association is an example of a gun-rights group.

NRA stands for the National Rifle Association. This is a controversial organization in the United States that supports the possession of guns. The NRA represents the interests of a group of people in America who own guns.

These NRA members hire lobbyists to negotiate with legislators in order to favor their particular interests. One of the petitions of this group is to vote against the laws that could control guns.

Some US citizens and groups are in favor of gun control laws due to the many terrible shooting incidents in high school, shopping center, and other places across the country.
