Which statement describes the light reaction of photosynthesis?
konstantin123 [22]

Answer:Water molecules are split apart.

Explanation: In the light dependent reactions of photosynthesis, sunlight provides the energy for splitting of water into its components: hydrogen and oxygen. This reaction is known as the photolysis of water. The oxygen is evolved as a byproduct. In this light dependent reactions, the light energy absorbed is used for the splitting of water molecules and it is also conserved as ATP and NADPH which are used to drive the carbon fixation reactions of photosynthesis.

Consider a cell in which one of the proteins or enzymes involved in dna replication is altered in a way that results in an incre
adelina 88 [10]
Increased rate of single-base changes in the newly synthesized DNA strand may be due to the MUTATION IN THE PROOF-READING ACTIVITY OF DNA POLYMERASE ENZYME.

DNA polymerase enzyme is responsible for adding the nucleotides complementary to the old strand. It is a very specific enzyme that works with precision. It has a proof reading activity that allows correct addition of nucleotides.
