Answer:

The best answer to the question: Which details from the excerpt help the reader to visualize Rainsford´s hiding spot, would be, C: Phrases such as "thick trunk", "outspread branches", and "broad limbs".

Explanation:

"The Most Dangerous Game" is a short story written by Richard Connell, and it was published for the first time in 1924. This story can also be found under the title of "The Hounds of Zaroff."

In this particular excerpt from the story, General Zaroff, the host that was assisting big-game and famous hunter Sanger Rainsford, after he accidentally fell off a yatch in the Caribbean, has initiated his most daring hunt ever. He is hunting for human prey, and his prey at the time, is Rainsford himself. After having avoided Zaroff and his helper for most of the day, Rainsford finally seeks a place to rest in the jungle and after making sure that no one can track him to where he is, he chooses a tree to climb on and sleep. We learn about the place, and the characteristics of it from Rainsford in the passage when he uses descriptive words for it, especially regarding the tree where he will try and rest, and those trees and vegetation that surrounds it. This is why C, which uses such descriptors for the place where Rainsford is hiding, becomes the best choice as an answer.

Which lines from Guthrie’s song "This Land Is Your Land" were most likely inspired by this aspect of his life?
Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

Which lines from Guthrie’s song "This Land Is Your Land" were most likely inspired by this aspect of his life?

I saw above me that endless skyway:

I saw below me that golden valley:

And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling,

As the fog was lifting a voice was chanting:

As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking

Is this land made for you and me?

Nobody living can ever stop me,

As I go walking that freedom highway;

Explanation:

I don't really know, but those lines just seem like they were inspired bu the aspect of his life.

Hey guys can someone please help me with these questions! Im having a hard time with them.
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

Answer below, combined into one.

Explanation:

No, we are not able to feed everyone on the planet due to the amount of waste created per every family. The average amount of food waste created by an American family is roughly 31.9% though, globally, that number is 30-40%. Let alone, climate change affects the course of food growth which can contribute to a high percentage of crop destruction due to rapid weather changes. To counteract this, farmers need to modernize their farming methods which isn't possible for countries that aren't as developed as countries that can't keep up with these agricultural changes. Therefore, we cannot successfully feed the whole world due to drastic changes in quality of life. Percentages and basic demonstrations of how our climate is rapidly changing is driving me to conclude that we simply cannot produce enough to feed our whole planet.

Read the information in the chart based on "Music Gets Personal,” and answer the question.
Mkey [24]

The correct answer is A. In 1877, Thomas Alva Edison solved the problem of capturing sound when he made the first sound recording.

Explanation

Paraphrasing is rewriting in your own words what has been read or learned without distorting the main meaning. According to the information in the table, it can be inferred that the sentence that best completes the paraphrase of the passage is A. "In 1877, Thomas Alva Edison solved the problem of capturing sound when he made the first sound recording" because It includes all the details and the appropriate supplementary information to summarize all the topics covered in the text that were not mentioned in the paraphrase chart incluiding the name of the inventor and the year. So the answer is A.
