Gimme info about the North Central Plains. Talk about the Industry/Economy/jobs and Vegetation & Wildlife
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

The North Central Plains region is mostly rural grasslands and small towns with a few large cities. Most of this prairie land is thick grasses. There is also a cross timbers area full of hardwood trees. Farming is common here because of the fertile soil. So there are many kinds of crops grown in this region. There also commonly short prairie grass. Climate in the region/area can be extreme.  In the winters its cold, but in the summer it can be the hottest area in Texas.  The average rainfall is 20 - 30 inches a year and during the spring there can be violent storms and tornadoes. Paul Duro Canyon- It is a state park that encompasses more than 20,000 acres near Amarillo. It is home to many rare animals.

Joyland Amusement Park- This amusement park is located within the Mackenzie Park Recreation Area and has more than 30 rides and attractions.

Law Enforcement Museum- This museum in Eastland is located within the Eastland County Jail built in 1897. It was once home to the "Santa Claus Bank Robber". Ranching- It is a large industry in the Central Plains region. People commonly raise and sell Texas longhorn cattle, and angora goats. Agriculture- It also makes up a large portion of this region's economy. The vast grasslands full of thick grasses and rich soil make this region perfect for farming and grazing.

How were airplanes used during World War 1? Select the TWO correct answers.
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

It was also decided that airplanes could only be used for reconnaissance or spying missions. (Villard-227) “The airplane may be all very well for sport, but for the army it is useless” (Quoted in Villard-227) Even by the beginning of the war in 1912, the use of planes in war was still prohibited by the War Office.

The first use of airplanes in World War I was for reconnaissance. The airplanes would fly above the battlefield and determine the enemy's movements and position. One of the first major contributions of airplanes in the war was at the First Battle of the Marne where Allied reconnaissance planes spotted a gap in the German lines. The Allies attacked this gap and were able to split the German armies and drive them back.
