Why is speaking to persuade more challenging than speaking to inform?

English

Speaking to persuade is more difficult because the speaker is talking about an opinion. The audience may have different beliefs, so it would be more difficult to convince them. Speaking to inform is simply giving the audience new information in which they may not have previously known.

Dad noticed a flat tire on the car. We reached the store an hour later." What probably happened between these two events?
jekas [21]

The correct answer is Dad fixed the car. In the first sentence, it is mentioned that the car broke down so it couldn't move at all. In the second sentence, it is mentioned that they reached the store an hour later which means that during that time the problem was solved so the car could move. This is the most logical answer since adding other options would need the presence of more information for them to be viable.
