Answer:

Discrimination is an attitude, behavior, or action that leads to injustice or imbalance being committed by one person against another. Discrimination also often takes place against individuals or groups. The reason is the distinction in a group or individual's features. Furthermore, emotions of disappointment can cause discrimination. This sense of disappointment is spread to other individuals or organizations.

Explanation:

· Causes of Discrimination

History also can influence discrimination. This usually happens in a country or group with an unpleasant past. For instance, on race issues and so on. Discrimination can also be caused by group competition and mutual exploitation. Whether we realize it or not, this discrimination can be transferred from generation to generation.

· Types of Discrimination

There are two types of discrimination. The first form of discrimination is direct. Regulations, policies, and laws are produced in this first form to corner certain features. Gender, race, physical condition, and religion are some of the examples. Some people don't get the same chance to do things because they choose or have a certain feature.

The second form of discrimination is indirect. This happens when rules are neutral, but differences are depending on certain features in practice. For instance, one should receive the same wage in terms of gender in the laws. But females receive fewer wages in reality than males. Another example is social security, requiring everyone to receive the same therapy. However, in acquiring government services such as health centers, there are category differentiators.

Read the following lines from Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'urbervilles
NARA [144]

Answer: C.the English countryside

Explanation:

Tess of the d'Urbervilles: A Pure Woman Faithfully Presented is a novel by written by Thomas Hardy, published in 1891. The story is set at the end of the 19th century, in a region southwest of London. More precisely, the novel takes place in Wessex, an area that includes the county of Dorset and the surrounding counties. The novel itself illustrates the country life during the late Victorian period. The story does not take place in America, so the option A is incorrect. It also certainly does not take place among the Mayan ruins, or London. The story is set in rural England - the correct answer is C. the English countryside.

What is your ideal society? What do you think is necessary to achieve it?
Lana71 [14]

Answer: An ideal society can be defined as a society where every individual is self content and lives a healthy and peaceful life. A society, to be termed as ideal, needs to fulfill certain criteria. First of all, an ideal or perfect society should have equality among men.

Explanation: “The Ideal society has yet to be built- one which balances nicely collective well-being and individual well-being” (Peace Pilgrim). When you look to improve both one person along with an entire community, you will meet the needs of everyone which ultimately leads to balance. There are many ways to develop a ideal society and help contribute to improvements. Three areas to improve to create a ideal society would include a democratic government, fuel efficient modes of transportation, and advanced education systems in smaller school.
