Answer:

Francisco Vasquez de Coronado was a Spanish conquistador who explored the American Southwest.

The Viceroy of New Spain sent an expedition led by Francisco Vasquez de Coronado to search for the mysterious kingdom of the Seven Mysterious cities of Cibola (a mythical city that was supposed to be in the Southwest) and to take its riches, including perhaps gold, and take them back to Mexico City.

During the trip, the Grand Canyon, the Rio Grande and the southern Rocky Mountains were discovered. The expedition was a flop because no gold was found. Their discovery was a serious setback after the murderous long journey, the danger of the Indians and the lack of food. They had hoped for a lot, but this did not meet their expectations in any way.

Do you think the United States should have retained an isolationist stance
saveliy_v [14]

I think to a degree we should have. In WWII I think entering the war was necessary after Pearl Harbor, but nowadays I think we need to focus on America first, and stop worrying about every little thing in other countries. America has a lot of problems it needs to fix, and pulling out of other countries affairs would be a good way to do so.
