2. Celebrating Columbus Day is a continuous way of saying "We're proud to be Americans, and equally proud of our Italian heritage and ancestry."

1. He enslaved Natives

2. In truth, Leif Erickson found America before him.

3. It is morally depraved to celebrate a slave owner and the things he did for profit.

4. He cut the nose and ears off of a man who stole corn. He then sold the man.

5. He murdered many natives and put their corpses in the streets to prove a point.

But the British Army was fighting to preserve something while the Revolutionaries were fighting for their rights and to start something new.
