The correct answer is A.

Explanation

A Chinese supporter of the Boxer Rebellion, which took place in China between 1899 and 1901 (near the end of Qing dynasty), would most likely believe that China should model itself after the United States to become more powerful.

The imperialist government had to decide, after a court, that foreigners couldn't stay in the country and that they had to leave whether by force (using the Boxers) or diplomacy. Moreover, the Boxers supporters were very proto-nationalists.

Read about the Plessy v Ferguson case. In your own words, write a half-page summary discussing the background of the case and th
ch4aika [34]

Plessy vs. Ferguson was a Supreme Court case that took place in 1896. It all started when Homer Plessy, a man who is 1/8th African American, was asked to move from his seat in the all white section of a train car. Plessy refused to move since he had bought a seat in this section. He was promptly arrested for his refusal to abide by this law.

Homer Plessy would go on to change this law saying that it was unconstitutional. His lawyer argued that this was a violation of his 14th amendment rights. However, the Supreme Court ruled against Plessy. The majority opinion from the Supreme Court stated that this did not violate the 14th amendment as long as the facilities for blacks and whites were "separate but equal."

This ruling drastically changed American society, as other businesses and facilities became segregated by race. These laws would last for almost half a century in the United States.

The United States refused to join _____ following World War I. the Warsaw Pact the Triple Entente the League of Nations the Axis
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

the League of Nations

Explanation:

After the World War I ended, the League of Nations was formed. Lot of nations became members of it, but not the United States. The United States felt that joining the League of Nations was not in its best interest, especially considering the fact that they wanted to further expand in the Pacific, nor were they willing to give up on the territories they recently gained and controlled. This changed after the World War II though, when the League of Nations became the United Nations, and the United States had different interests and were one of the first nations to join in.
