Natalija [7]

Answer:

short-term memory.

Explanation:

Short-term memory or active memory is the capacity to hold, but not process a small amount of information in mind. In an active, readily available state for a very short period of time. Short-term memory can be used to remember a phone number that has just been recited to us. The duration of short-term memory is believed to be just a few seconds. Compared to short-term memory, the long-term can hold the information indefinitely.

People usually mistake short-term memory for working memory, which refers to structures and processes used for processing and storing an information temporarily.
