Answer:

X = 40 degree

Step-by-step explanation:

First I would name the points whatever you do always name the points it really helps

So,

75 = a

50 = b

The middle point will be o

85 = c

X = d

Ok so,

Angle aob = y

Angle cod = z

Now,

75+50+y=180 (angle sum property)

y=180-125

y=55

Angle y = z (vertically opposite angles)

55+85+x=180 ( angle sum property )

x=180-140

Therefore x=40 degree

In higher classes you will be able to do this in your mind itself without calculation all you need is practice.

The hypotenuse of a 45°-45°-90° triangle measures 10 sqrt 5 in. What is the length of one leg of the triangle?
olga nikolaevna [1]
There is this specific ratio for 45-45-90 triangles where the length of the hypotenuse is radical 2 times as long as a leg. With this in mind, we can create an equation where the length of one leg is represented with the variable x.

x\sqrt{2} = 10\sqrt{5}
divide both sides by \sqrt{2}
x = 10\sqrt{5} / \sqrt{2}
x = 10\sqrt{10} /2
x = 5\sqrt{10}

The length of one leg is 5\sqrt{10}

Solve for x
Sladkaya [172]
D. x > 5
Combine like terms. 3x - x = 2x and 3 - 7 = -4. The equation is now 2x - 4 > 6. Now add 4 to both sides. 2x > 10. Now divide by 2 to get 'x' alone, leaving you with x > 5
