B. They could, provided that the pronouns agree with compound antecedents joined by correlative conjunctions.
C. Coordinating conjuctions join clauses.
D. Each item on a list isn't joined by a conjuction. It probably would on the last two things written down.

The correct option is B) “A snowstorm threatens their lives and forces them to seek shelter.” The reason why Slateh and Aaron spend days in the haystack is because a snowstorm took Aaron by surprise when he was taking the goat to the town. Even though Aaron did not agree with taking the goat to the butcher, he was obeying his father's orders.
