It's more inferred than it is actual. Pick out the details that are going on.

They are locked away for six months. Proporo has provided all sorts of entertainment: dancers buffoons (court jesters or fools), beauty. All this wealth being spent on the guests.

When they came the guests, bolted and welded the gates, they were there for the long haul. So they wanted to isolate themselves from the Red Death.

Now all we have to do is find something that says they were indifferent to those not there. It took 1/2 an hour to die. And yet the prince was happy, dauntless [fearless and determined] and sagacious [ his mind was all there].

That last sentence is the one I'd pick after going through all the details I've listed. He couldn't care less. The sentence before is a good answer as well. The scarlet stains didn't take but 1/2 an hour and they were so hideous they did not evoke sympathy. It's open ended. You can just about pick anything if you put in enough detail before it, if you can.

The answer is the last sentence you have marked. The last sentence shows how the Prince ignored the chaos that was occurring outside of his land and instead threw a party for the wealthy and powerful. This sentence shows the ignorance of the rich. Hope that helps :))

When traveling aboard, It’s a good idea tohave at least a basicunderstanding of foreign languages.
kati45 [8]

Answer:

Yes, it is a good idea. It's even better if you know the most commonly used language of whatever place you are traveling to. Like if you were to travel to France it's a good idea to be fluent in French.

. Read the sentence. I always knew when spring arrived that my grandparents were on they’re way to visit Which edit of the sente
agasfer [191]
The correct answer is change they're to their.
The words they're stand for = they are, whereas the pronoun their shows some kind of possession. So, whose way? Their way. Not they are way. The other options are incorrect as TO is spelled correctly, there means that you are pointing to something, and two is a number.
