How did South Carolina respond to the attempt by Britain to gain more control over its colonies
Anit [1.1K]

After the British Parliament passed the Stamp Act of 1765, which forced the American colonies to pay a new direct tax in British currency and required that most printed work in the colonies including legal documents, newspapers and other kinds of paper should be printed on stamped paper manufactured in London, South Carolina sent three representatives to the Stamp Act Congress. These representatives were especially vocal and active in their opposition to the British Crown and although Congress would still try to negotiate an amicable compromise with the Crown, it would ultimately seek to sever ties with the Empire.

Disadvantage about Foraging
Setler [38]
The disadvantage to foraging is running out of the resource. For example, if one forages for firewood, eventually the person will have to travel to far to make it worth while. As a result, it's time to move closer to more firewood. It becomes a cycle of forage, move, forage move.

How does the size of the senate affect its operation?
Andrews [41]
I would argue that the respective sizes of each house affect each other little. The House of Representatives has 535 members where as the Senate has 100. The actual number in each house has little to do with their operations. Bills are still drafted, debated, and voted upon in each house. Each house needs to approve a bill in order for it to come across the President's desk. The make up of each house, however, can have a huge effect. Take the current congress for example. There is a republican majority in the House of Representatives, and a democratic majority in the Senate.
