The reason the Battle of Saratoga being a turning point in the American Revolution is that it convinced the French to join the war on the side of the colonists .

<u>Explanation: </u>

The battle of Saratoga, in reality, which occurred near Albany in Saratoga County, New York from September 1777 to October 1777 and marked a turning point in the American Revolution, as it eventually convinced the French to become stronger in the Americas.  

The battle for Freeman's Farm and Bemis Heights were the two important battles.  

Such disputes would mean that the French would join themselves with the colonies and support French officers, ships and military personnel. France would subsequently declare a war against England.
