Montano1993 [528]

The New Deal was responsible for some powerful and important accomplishments. It put people back to work. It saved capitalism. It restored faith in the American economic system, while at the same time it revived a sense of hope in the American people. The most important programs included Social Security, the National Labor Relations Act ("Wagner Act"), the Banking Act of 1935, rural electrification, and breaking up utility holding companies. Which three colonies tolerated different religions from the time of their foundings?
emmasim [6.3K]

The three colonies that tolerated different religions from the time of their founding are Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland.

The founders of Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Maryland were mainly motivated by a desire to establish religiously tolerant colonies, but it resulted to religious conviction.

William Penn, for example, was a Quaker who founded Pennsylvania to provide a refuge for Quakers as well as to showcase the Quaker ideals of brotherly love and tolerance.Roger Williams was a dissenting Puritan who founded Rhode Island as a tolerant colony for others of his religious convictions. Similar motivations underlay Lord Baltimore’s founding of Maryland.
