The answer is electrophoresis. The electrophoresis can separate different length of DNA fragments using the agarose gel. The principle is that the DNA has negative charge and under constant volt it will move from negative to positive. And the longer the DNA is, the slower the DNA runs.

Which of these provides the most creative explanation for why sediments form horizontal and parallel layers? Law of Superpositio
kirza4 [7]

Answer: Principle of Original Horizontality.

According to the principle of original horizontality all rock layers are horizontal in nature and this is specific to sedimentary rocks. The younger sediments remains in the top layers and older ones remains at the bottom. These sediments accumulate in horizontal and parallel layers and becomes compact to form rocks in the end.

DNA is isolated from a clinical sample. The absorbance at 260nm is 0.489, and the absorbance at 280nm is 0.257. Is this sample o
MArishka [77]

Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

A high quality DNA sample will have a 260/280 ratio of around 1.8. This value means that the DNA is sufficiently pure and free from other contaminants that could affect downstream experiments and analysis.

The ratio for this sample is 0.489/0.257 = 1.9

This is close to 1.8, and therefore the sample is of sufficient quality ot use downstream.
